I’m sure you’ve received many messages from other politicians about this end-of-quarter deadline – and why it’s so important.

The truth is: it is.

It’s a real, public FEC reporting deadline, and the last quarterly one before the midterm elections. Every federal candidate in every state will be reporting out their financial standing, and it’s a real measure of success heading into the final weeks of the election.

National Republican groups will look to see who has momentum – and where there’s an opportunity to outspend Democrats and tip the scales in their favor.

But to be fully transparent, your donation today means more than showing strong fundraising numbers on a public report.

With just 34 days to go before Election Day, our end-of-quarter deadline is also a critical internal benchmark.

It’s one of the last opportunities we have to revise our budget and secure our investments into ad buys, our field team, and other critical outreach efforts.

Falling short means difficult decisions about where we need to cut back. While hitting our goal gives us opportunities to scale our outreach further.
