Unleashed graft and corruption

Folks,

Just when I think this administration can’t shock me anymore, they find a way to sink even lower:

• Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Kimberly Guilfoyle, while she was the nominee for ambassador to Greece, asked a Trump donor for $100,000 to help pay off her credit card bills, while offering access to top administration officials.

• That comes on the heels of Donald Trump spending $10 million of YOUR tax dollars on propaganda-filled ads.

• And let’s not forget that the president and his family are raking in BILLIONS from investments into industries the White House is supposed to regulate.

So much for cutting waste, fraud, and abuse!

Trump and his allies are acting without restraint because congressional Republicans have refused to put any guardrails on this administration.

Our country is better than this.

That’s why I’m fighting so hard to hold this Senate seat and to help Virginia Democrats win battleground House races. We have to flip Congress if we want any real shot at holding this administration accountable.

Here’s what a Democratic Congress can do to end the corruption coming out of this White House:

First, we can investigate the Trump family’s business dealings, give Americans the transparency they deserve, and hold the administration accountable for any pay-to-play schemes we uncover.

Second, in the Senate, I’ll continue to vote against any Trump nominee who can’t demonstrate a commitment to the rule of law. And if Democrats have the majority, that’s a real check on who gets put in charge.

Third, we can pass legislation to cut off this kind of self-dealing and hold every elected federal official to a higher standard. That means banning stock trading by members of Congress and ending no-bid federal contracts.

It all starts with winning big in just 26 days. Until then, it’s on all of us to keep speaking out and pushing back against this corrupt, dangerous administration.
